The initial email was structured like a landing page, featuring various sections with content on new products, blog posts, detailed event information, and more. This email contained more intricate details and image editing for design aesthetics, making it less suitable for simply dropping in template content.

Dear Lilu investors, mentors and friends

Hope you are doing well! The last two months at Lilu have been busy and filled with progress. Let’s get to the news!

Product News

Product Update

Progress is being made on the latest generation of the massage bra. We anticipate wrapping up after one more iteration – while we can’t wait to move to production, we have learned the importance of careful testing and costing to ensure a good launch. There will also be improvements to the product’s packaging to make it more modular. We are excited to share this preview with you!

Shipping

We are researching how we can optimize the logistics of shipping the product from the manufacturer to the warehouse and from the warehouse to the customer. This will ultimately lower the cost of shipping. With the help of an amazing mentor that CrescentRidgePartners connected us with we’ve already identified ~$10-15 in savings. Now we need to put it into action.

Next Steps

We will continue to drive growth through influencer marketing, email marketing, and strategic partnerships with brands.

NSF Grants

We completed our final report for Phase 1 of the NSF grant. We also submitted Phase 2 last month and this is our absolute priority in order to secure $1-$1.5 million in grant funding. We hope to hear from them within the next couple of months. Thank you to everyone that has provided letters of support towards this grant. Your industry expertise and support have been instrumental in securing these grants!

Marketing & Sales

Partnership

We are partnering with Tot Squad, a company that makes it easy for parents to find and book vetted & trustworthy experts to help you with parenting challenges. Moms are able to visit wearlilu.com and purchase a session with a lactation consultant powered by Tot Squad. We will market this on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.

Partnership

We are also excited to announce our partnership with Healthy Horizons (healthyhorizons.com). Healthy Horizons specializes in corporate lactation programs, new parent support, and breast pumps. They will be marketing our product to their customers.

Referral Campaign

We are initiating a refer-a-friend campaign this month to grow our email newsletter audience and increase conversions. The marketing campaign is targeted to customers who have purchased our product. Both the referee and the person being referred will receive an incentive for participating.

Influencer Promotion

We are concentrating on influencer marketing for Q1 & Q2. We have recruited some amazing influencers and video content is converting well. We will continue to build those relationships and emphasize video content on YouTube and Instagram. We are also excited to launch our marketing efforts on TikTok. Here’s a preview of a recent review.

Team & Funding

We are excited to announce that Sujay is getting married! Join us in congratulating Sujay and his fiance on this exciting time in their lives!
